Oh, the afternoon thunderstorms and mangrove trees!

A painting based on a whole bunch of photos my best-friend from high school took (she now goes to college in Tampa). The Gulf coast of Florida can be very beautiful, and this painting is sort of a way of dealing with my home sickness, as well as how seeing what the people you care about see. Western New York has been a very big change, I am missing my family, friends, and the natural beauty though I spent most of my time dying from the heat when I was there!

I hope this Floridian can handle all this white stuff though!

I live in Tampa and this is a stunning painting - You have an eye for what I consider the most beautiful part of nature here, the mangroves and quiet out of the way spots. This is beautifully rendered.
